NEW GARDEN COURSE
The Novice Gardener
6 week course 1st March - 5th April - 150.00 per person
Want to enjoy your garden and don't know where to start? This course combines hands on and theory, everything you need to get started.
 
Cutting Garden - 12th March
Workshop covering all aspects of growing your own cut flowers to give you year round colour.

Spring Propagation – 26th March
A practical session covering seed sowing, cuttings and division.

Plant Supports - 29th May

Learn to make a small plant support for low climbers or large drooping flowers

using willow & hazel.

 
Adorn Your Walls  – 18th June
A workshop looking at climbers and wall shrubs, where to use them and how to grow and train them.

Summer Task Workshop – 2nd July
Topics to include pruning of shrubs and climbers, prolonging the floral show.  Seasonal plants, herbaceous borders.

Autumn Propagation - 17th September
A practical workshop covering cuttings, division, seed collection.

Kitchen Garden Workshop – 1st October
A morning of practical advice on how to grow your own fruit and veg to include rotation and successional planting, companion planting and composting.

Autumn Tasks – 22nd October
Topics to include pruning of shrubs and climbers, mulching, winter protection and plants of seasonal interest.

Seasonal Workshop - 10th December
Enjoy the ambience of the Great Hall while learning how to make festive swags, table decorations and wreaths.  Place limited, early booking advised.


PATCHWORK WITH MANDY MUNROE
 
Free Form Leaves - Friday 21st October 10.00am – 3.00pm

Bring your sewing machine and cutting equipment and practice cutting without a ruler to create free form leaves.  Four blocks would make a cushion or a table runner.  Tea and Coffee provided with Mandy Munroe, to book  email mandy.munroe@btinternet.com

Observational drawing of Orchard fruit, painted in watercolor to create a stunning seasonal three dimensional form.   Tea and coffee provided.

Ashford Yoga Club - Yoga and Relaxation Classes at Godinton House
  New students are offered a free taster session. Come and learn the ancient art of yoga to strengthen and condition the body, calm and balance the mind.
Tuesdays at 2.45pm, 6.15pm or 8pm. Thursdays 6.15pm or 8pm. Saturdays 8.30am or 10.30am.
